Applications:
Extrusion dies are typically used in an extrusion process where a slug of material is pushed through the die giving it a cross-sectional area (based on the shape of the extrusion die). The extrusion process can be performed at various temperatures (specific to the material and desired mechanical properties) and used on a variety of materials including, steels, copper, aluminum, nickel, lead, and tin.
