Summary of Role:

The Tool and Die Machinist will be trained to comprehend and execute United Die shop orders, work instructions and part drawing. The tool and die machinist will have an active role with continuous improvement, structure problem solving. They will learn and implement the proper machining techniques critical and essential to the the production of tooling.

Essential Responsibilities:  

  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace/equipment
  • Be able to operate and use precision measuring equipment
  • Produce parts which meet or exceed United Die requirements
  • Assist with reporting operational metrics to managers
  • Drive quality improvement and provide corrective action recommendations
  • Act as a facilitator of continuous improvement and working on proactive and preventative changes
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner
  • Support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs

Required Qualifications:        

  • Education - High School Graduate
  • Experience – None required
  • Language Fluency – English/Spanish/Polish
  • Physical Capacity Demands – able to lift 40 lbs
