DCT 1.2 — A Sharper View

Version 1.2 · July 2026 · iPhone, iPad, Mac

A refinement release: the drawing frames itself properly on every screen, and the Design Library remembers what you were working on.

New in 1.2

  • Fit to Viewport, reworked — every die is framed properly, including designs whose nib OD is much wider than the die body. The view re-fits itself when you rotate the device, resize the window, or change the Split View layout, and Recenter now keeps your zoom.
  • A bigger drawing on iPhone — dimension labels are sized to the screen and longer ones stack onto two lines, so the die is drawn considerably larger without measurements running off the edge.
  • iPad layouts that adapt — in a narrow window or Split View, the Parameters and Nib Assist panels open on demand instead of squeezing the drawing. On iPad mini in portrait this is now the standard layout.
  • The library remembers your design — reopening the app brings back not just the die geometry but the design it belongs to: the customer and tags stay visible, and saving offers to update the original instead of creating a duplicate.
  • Saved designs open framed — a design reopens fitted to your screen instead of zoomed in with labels cut off, including designs saved in the web app.
  • Clearer readouts — Blend Radius now displays as a radius ("R 0.463""), matching how machinists read it, and the small derived values on Mac are larger and easier to read.
  • Traceable DXF exports — exported files record which app and version produced them, so a drawing can always be matched back to its source.
