A new Fine mode for the adjustments that fall between steps, and one less chore when you add DCT to your Dock.
Fine mode
- Ten times finer — the Die Parameters heading now carries a Fine button. Switch it on and Bearing, Blend Radius and Approach Ext step ten times more finely: a tenth of a percent instead of a whole one. Their boxes outline in gold so you can see the mode is active.
- Only where it helps — Bell Radius, Back Relief and Approach Angle are unchanged. They already step in the increments dies are actually made to.
- Session-only — Fine mode lasts as long as you are working, and is not saved with a design.
Also in this release
- Adding DCT to your Dock no longer means moving your designs by hand — DCT used to warn that your saved designs would not come with you, and ask you to export a library file first, then import it on the other side. That is no longer necessary: sign in with the same access code and your Design Library arrives from Udico Cloud on its own. You will still be asked to accept the agreement and enter your access code once in the installed app. (Customers on an evaluation code, or who have chosen to keep a library separate, still get the export-first advice, because for them it is still the way across.)
- One version number across every DCT — DCT in your browser now reports v1.4, the same version as DCT on iPhone, iPad and Mac. The number jumped from 1.1 because it had fallen behind. Nothing was skipped, and no feature was removed.
